    October Coca-Cola Scholarship This is a scholarship based on leadership, community service, academic achievement, and part time employment.
    November Prudential Spirit Award

    The Prudential Spirit Award is available online at http://spirit.prudential.com

    November Daughter of American Revolution Award Participants must be nominated by staff and voted on by senior class. Selected student needs a letter of recommendation, fill out personal narrative, and write a 2 hour essay on a specific topic.
    November MHSAA Scholar Athlete Award Student must have a G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher and be an athlete with varsity letter, fill out application, and write sportmanship essay.
    November Principal Leadership Award

    Participants are selected by administration and the student fills out on-line application.

    November Masonic Lodge Scholarship Requires 2 letters of recommendation from school personnel, 2 letters of recommendation from non-school personnel, and an application and essay. See Counseling Department for an application.
    November P.E.O. STAR Scholarship For female students only. Exhibits Excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success. Minimum GPA of 3.0.Planning to attend a college in the fall. See Student services center for an application.
    December RARE Everyday Heros Scholarship Requires an essay about the person you consider your everyday hero. For more details, official rules, and an the on-line entry form go to www.RAREfoundation.org.
    December AXA Achievement Scholarship This is a scholarship for student leaders whose projects benefits other in the community. Go to www.axa-achievement.com.
    December MAB Foundation Scholarship This is a scholarship offered to students who have a G.P.A. of 3.0-4.0 going into Broadcasting. See Counseling Department for more details. (Not offered every year)
    January NAFEPA Scholarship Requires a 300 word narrative, list of involvement and awards, and 3 letters of recommendation. See Counseling Department for application. (Not offered every year)
    January NALS Scholarship $1,000 This is a scholarship for students who plan to enter legal field. See Counseling Department for the application.
    January Sam Walton Community Scholarship For students with a minimum of 2.5 that demonstrate financial need and meet additional criteria.  Go to www.walmartfoundation.org and click on Scholarship Programs to learn more and apply.
    February Burger King Scholars Program (Have It Your Way Foundation) Apply at www.haveityourwayfoundation.org.  Students must have a 2.5 or better GPA and work at least 10 hours per week.  See website for further qualifications and online application.  Follow the links to go to www.applyists.net using ACCESS Key:  BKS.
    February Michigan Society of Professional Engineers Students must have a minimum ACT score of 26. Go to www.michiganspe.org.
    February KFC Colonel's Scholars Program Information and the application are available online at www.kfcscholars.org.
    February MEA Scholarship There is a short answer essay and letter of recommendation are required. For more information or application see Counseling Department.
    February Ronald McDonald House Charities U.S. Scholarship Program Go to www.rmhc.org, go to “What we do” and then to RMHC U.S. Scholarships.  You will need to select only 1 of 4 scholarships to apply for.  Clare County is under RMHC Outstate Michigan category.
    March Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation The Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation offers a $2,000, non-renewable scholarship to graduating seniors. Winners are selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership, financial need, and dedication to the civil rights principles of Rosa L. Parks, whose historic stand against racial prejudice in 1955 brought her national recognition. The Foundation was established in 1980 to provide equal-opportunity scholarships to Michigan high school seniors. See Counseling Department for more information.
    March SAMMY Scholarship - Body by milk Go to www.bodybymilk.com for official rules and application.  This is an opportunity for student athletes with a 3.2 or higher gpa to apply for a $7500 scholarship, a trip to Disney World,  and an opportunity to be pictured in a Milk Mustache ad in USA Today.  See the website for additional criteria.
    March Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation - Isabella Bank & Trust Scholarship for $750 Based on community involvement and service/volunteerism.  Must have a 3.0 or higher gpa and 2 letters of recommendation.  Preference given to school leaders.  Go to www.mpacf.org.  Click on Scholarship seekers.  Go to High Schools and select “Outside Isabella County.”  Then go to Isabella Bank & Trust Scholarships.  Print or download the application.
    March Kohl's Kids Scholarship Open to students age 6-18 who are nominated by a 21 year old or older adult. Community service counts for this scholarship. Go to www.kohlskids.com for more details on how to get nominated.
    March Edith Irene (Stinchcombe) Gieseler Endowed Scholarship This is a $1,000 scholarship for students interested in the following areas of study: Horticulture, Floriculture, Floral Design, or Early Elementary Education. This scholarship requires students to fill out an application and write a brief 250-500 word essay on their post-secondary plans and why they selected one of the majors listed above.     Building Industry Student Award Scholarship

    Applicant must be seeking a future career in the home building industry (interior design, architecture, construction management, electrical, plumbing, heating, carpentry, building trades, etc.)  Requires an application, essay, and transcript.  See Counseling Department for an application.
    March Clara Rebekah Lodge #167 Scholarship This is a $500 scholarship awarded to students who live in Clare County. Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher and have a good attendance record. A completed application, two letters of recommendation, and be willing to submit to a personal interview with scholarship committee. The application will be available in March in the Counseling Department.
    March Farwell Area Scholarship Association Scholarships Students must have a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher. For the application, click here and print off and fill out the required information. This scholarship is payable the second semester of freshman year in college.
    March Glenn Garrison Memorial Scholarship This is a scholarship awarded to students who participate in sports and are involved in community service. Requires two letters of recommendation and and essay of 500 words or less on "Play It as It Lies." This scholarship is not available every year so take the advantage of it being available.     March Home Builders Association Parents must be a member of the Home Builders Association to qualify. Applicant must complete application, supply a brief essay regarding his/her educational intentions, must attach a written recommendation from a teacher and a non-school personnel. The application in available in the Counseling Department.

    Homebuilder’s Member Award Scholarship This scholarship is reserved for applicants that are children or employees of a Home Builder’s Association or Women’s Council Member.  Requires an application, essay, and transcript.  See Counseling Department for an application.
         
    April Michigan Oil & Gas Producers Education Foundation Scholarship For students with an interest in employment in crude oil and natural gas industry. Go to  www.mogpef.org to apply.
    April Michigan Retailers Association Students must have a parent that is a MRA member. The scholarship is worth a $1000 and there will be 30 choosen winners. View www.retailers.com for more details. See student services center for more information.
    April Michigan State Troopers Assistance Fund Scholarship This is a $1000 scholarship for students who have a G.P.A. of 3.25 or higher, who have volunteered in the community, and have a completed FAFSA. The application will be available in the counseling office.
    April Clare-Gladwin Board of Realtors Scholarship The scholarship is based on need and there will be two recipients chosen for the scholarship. This scholarship is given to those who are interested in entering the business field. To qualify you must have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.0. There is an essay required and two letters of recommendation.     April Sandy Kelke Clare-Gladwin RESD Federation of Teachers Memorial Scholarship Fund This is awarded to high school special needs seniors who plan to attend an accredited college or trade school. There is a requirement of a completed application, letter of recommendations, and short statement of goals approx. 50-100 words. Applicant must also list all activities and service involvement.     April Clare Rotary Scholarship Students must have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.75 to apply for the 2 year scholarship and a 3.25 for the 4 year scholarship. Students need to complete an application, and if selected submit to a finalist interview. Beneficial to be employed to earn scholarship. There is a two year award for Mid Michigan Community College that will be awarded and a four year award to any college of your choice. Click here for the application.
    April Lake George Boosters Scholarship To qualify you must live in Freeman or Lincoln Township. There is an essay that must be completed and two letter of recommendation are required. The application will be available in the student services center.
      Lake George Fairchild Scholarship To qualify you must live in Freeman or Lincoln Township. There is an essay that must be completed and two letter of recommendation are required. The application will be available in the student services center.

    Nottawa-Sherman Firefighter’s Association Scholarship Applicant must have permanent residence within geographical area currently served by the Nottawa-Sherman Townships Fire Department and have a minimum gpa of 2.0.  Four (4) additional points (out of 50) are possible for students pursuing a career in public safety or public health.   Students in other career areas can only score 46 points.  Students must fill out application, write an essay, and have two letters of recommendation and transcript.  See counseling office for an application.
    April Current Surfaces Track Athlete Scholarship This is a $1000 scholarship awarded to students who have a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher and are a track athlete. Students must submit a complete application, letter of recommendations from a coach and one other person, and complete an essay. The application will be available in late January.     April Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship This is an online scholarship in memory of Joan Whitworthe. Two Essays are required (one 1000, and one 500 word). Visit www.fitnessexercises.tv/scholarships.php
    April Dial My Dentist Scholarship This is an online scholarhship and requires an essay of up to 2000 words. Visit www.dentalmarketingplans.com for an application.
    April Alan Patterson Scholarship Awarded to a Male and Female Golfer. Applications can be picked up from the student services center. Essay is required.

    NA American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Michigan Scholarships Candidates for the following shall be daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, sons, grandsons, great-grandsons, or step of the afore mentioned of honorably discharged or deceased men or women veterans of WWI, WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam Hostilities, Grenada and Lebanon Hostilities, Panama Hostilities, or Persian Gulf Conflict.  Go to www.michalaux.org for more details.
    NA Central Michigan Community Federal Credit Union Scholarship This scholarship is available through CMUFCU. Check online for application or inquire at the credit union for more information.
    NA Chemical Bank Scholarship Go to www.chemicalbankmi.com for more information. The application will be available in February on the web.
    NA Clare Area Junior Golf Association Scholarship Available to students who have participate 3 of 4 summers in the Clare Area Junior Golf Program.
    NA Kerwin Paesens Athletic Award Awarded to males who are nominated by coaching staff.
    NA Kiwanis Athletic Award and Scholarship Athletes with high G.P.A. and are nominated by staff and coaches.
