Woodshop Created Graphic

At Farwell Schools, we have different programs available that students can take part in. One of those programs is our woodshop program. Our woodshop classes are led by Mr. Thompson. Each year, Mr. Thompson helps lead students in building all sorts of things. Typical projects you can expect to see starting students make are wall shelves, cutting boards and step stools. Once students have a basic foundation laid, they are able to make far more complicated pieces such as tables, chair, benches, cabinets, chests, and more. You may even have a project made by a Farwell student at your home! Every year, the woodshop program holds an auction made up of 35-50 projects, all made by our very own Farwell students. This auction has been around 9 years. In those 9 years, the highest amount we have made from it has been $6,300. Last year, we made $5,000. This money, along with a donation of $5,000-7,000 worth of wood yearly, goes back into the woodshop program so more students are able to learn year after year. Make sure to keep an eye out for the auction this year, and any other things the woodshop program decides to do (like Christmas wreaths)!
